Getting started
Two kinds of people use LogiMapper: map owners who build and share maps, and viewers who follow a link or paste an access code. This page covers both.
If you’ve been sent a map
Public read-only links open in any browser, no account required. Click the URL and the map loads exactly as the author published it. You can pan, zoom, hover arrows to read their labels, and click boxes to highlight individual logic chains.
If you were sent an access code instead, head to /access and paste the code into the field. Access codes are used for two things: opening a map that’s only shared with code-holders, and granting edit access to a specific map. The map opens in the same view you’d get from a regular link, with editing turned on if the code allowed it.
Creating an account
To build your own maps you need an account. Visit /signup, enter your email and a password, then confirm your address from the link emailed to you.
New accounts need to be approved by an administrator before they can sign in. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your account has been activated, after which you’ll be sent to your map library at /maps the first time you sign in.
Returning users sign in at /signin. If you forget your password use the Forgot password link to reset it via email.
Roles, in plain English
LogiMapper has three roles. Most people only ever need to know about the first.
- User. Can create, edit, share and export logic maps. This is the default for new accounts.
- Creator. Everything a User can do, plus manage Clients and Projects, invite people to projects, and see the creator dashboard.
- Admin. Everything a Creator can do, plus user management and the admin dashboard.
The roles you can manage from any given page are gated automatically: navigation items that don’t apply to your role simply don’t appear in the header.
